This journal comes in two options: a reusable journal cover with insert or a one-time use coptic stitched journal.

Covers are wrapped in one of our artisan papers.

Reusable cover endpapers are a thick cardstock, with a band placed close to the spine to hold the journal insert in place. The spine is made from durable rayon or cotton bookcloth to ensure it can withstand everyday use. Reusable covers also have an elastic attached to the back cover used to keep the journal closed and protect the pages inside.

Coptic endpapers are a complimentary, solid color paper. They're stitched with waxed linen thread.

Colors for these other elements of the covers are chosen from current inventory to match and compliment the selected cover paper. If you have color preferences, please indicate them in the notes section of your order.

These binding methods allow the books to open and lay perfectly flat for ease of use.

These journals are currently made to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production.

Artisan Papers: We use a variety of different papers in our work. Many of them are handmade in different regions of the world. Each sheet of paper is made like a piece of art, and carries with it generations of papermaking knowledge. Find out more about our artisan papers here.

Cardstock: Our cardstocks are all light-weight and acid-free. We use a variety of textures, but mostly smooth for use in our journals.

Journal Pages: Our default paper for journals is Canson Universal Sketch paper. It's best for dry media like pencil, pens, and charcoal. It's natural white, acid-free, has excellent erasability and is smudge resistant. Other specialty papers are sometimes used, and are detailed in the item description.
